We enjoy our completist mindset. Since time immemorial (ok, since we were kids, but immemorial is a rad word) we have oft found ourselves behaving no different than a junkie-collector of beanie babies (or were they bears? We can’t remember/be bothered to look it up), coughing up ghastly sums of money to get the cassette that has this b-side or the cd-single that has that remix. Fortunately, we’ve chilled out a bit since then, but that doesn’t mean that won’t travel to a parallel dimension of stupor and near black-out consciousness should the opportunity to get the whole shebang appear on the cheap.

Well, fortunately for us and Bright Man of Learning fans everywhere, you are now free to fulfill your full-set fantasies and totally for free. Yes, tip your cap to Mr. Marshall Preddy, BMOL frontman, and early adopter of every web-based technology that you may or may not be using yourself in six months. Among them is Virb, a new social networking site along the lines of MySpace, but one that has a number of advantages (we would actually switch to it if there were more folks aboard), including the ability for bands to post their entire catalog and give the songs away if they so choose.

And choose the Bright Men have, placing the entirety of their Kicker Wisdom and Great Breakfast recordings (both originally recorded under the name Chasmatic), plus a healthy chunk of their latest self-titled effort up there for you to download. So – Get to collectin!
